GRAND LAKE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Alexis + Trevor married in a breathtaking AA Barn, Grand Lake, Colorado just last week.
The ranch is the epitome of Colorado’s beauty with it’s rustic barn and gorgeous meadow ceremony spot as Colorado RMNP, Dream Lake, and Trailridge Road soaring to an elevation of 12,183 feet, “Trail Ridge Road seems to leave the earth behind.
It slices through the heart of Rocky Mountain National Park, entering a world of rare alpine beauty.”
Distant peaks loom in all directions, while fragrant wildflowers blanket the tundra in mid-summer and the hummingbirds hovering around us all day long created unforgettable memories for the two.
Grand Lake is sits at an elevation of 8,369 feet and derives its name from the lake on whose shores it is situated: Grand Lake, the largest natural body of water in Colorado.
When I met with Alexis + Trevor the first time we chatted around a table at one of their favorite coffee go-to spots, Logan House. I love learning my couples stories, their details, and experience in person.
The connection we share allow me to capture their wedding day and tell THEIR STORY.
I am a STORY LISTENER.
GRAND LAKE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY | Alexis + Trevor LOVE STORY
“Alexis and Trevor met in the spring of 2015 on an online dating site. Though living over an hour apart from each other they decided to give it a chance and get to know one another via text and phone conversations.
The first date was to be at their halfway point in Castle Rock Colorado for dinner. The day of the first date Trevor came down with a stomach ailment and became ill.
Trevor however did not want to miss his opportunity to meet this lovely girl so he decided to push through his unpleasant nauseous state and continue with the plans.
That night they ate dinner and walked across the street to have drinks at a nearby bar. While at the bar, Trevor soon realized that he was not going to be able to hold down his dinner and soon excused himself to the restroom.
It was a very romantic first date full of titillating conversation, laughter, and emesis.
Realizing the connection was something exceptional, the relationship continued to flourish in the following months and they quickly devoted every weekend to being together.
You would always find them hiking, exploring, attending festivals, traveling across the country and even the world.
Trevor and Alexis took their relationship to the next level when Trevor asked Alexis to be his wife in the summer of 2016 on a romantic hot air balloon ride in South Park, CO…she said YES!”
~they just got me.
