Why They Adventure in The Rocky Mountains.

“Brian and I met back in high school, when we both worked at the same grocery store. He was a bagger, and I was a cashier. Our lifetime adventure started talking a lot at work, and hanging out at school. We were both in bands in high school, and Brian finally asked me out at Battle of the Bands in 2005. It turned out we have so much in common, we have the same interest in music, love of animals, and share the same goals for our lives. Both of us have changed so much over the years, but because we are so great together, we have grown together. Now, we love the outdoors and get out as much as we can to hike, mountain bike, run, and camp.

THE ADVENTURE COUPLE LOVE STORY

After 9 years of dating, Brian and I went to the Grand Canyon in Arizona to celebrate our anniversary. Brian insisted on lugging around a 15lb tripod all day so he could take pictures of the both of us. He had us stop along the trail and told me to come check out the camera and see if I though it would make a good picture. While I did that, he grabbed the ring from his backpack. Brian then told me to hurry back so he could set the timer, and when the camera went off, he proposed. It was so special and meaningful, and will always be memorable.

THE COUPLES MEMORIES OF THEIR INTIMATE, NATIONAL PARKS THEMED WEDDING

We got married just over a year later at Lapham Peak in Wisconsin; a place we both hold dear. Brian and I did a lot of hiking there in our early years of dating. We got married outside in a picnic area overlooking a pond on the most perfect day surrounded by friends and family. Our wedding theme was the outdoors, and more specifically, the National Parks. Each table was a different National Park. We planted a pine tree for our unity ceremony, and had our guests sign a large tree slab that I picked out at the lumberyard. We honeymooned in California, visiting Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Park and Big Sur. Our lifetime goal is to visit and hike in each of the National Parks. Now, living in Colorado, we are able to visit much more often. We will be married three years this August, even though it feels like we have been married for much longer. Both Brian and I are very excited to see where our adventure takes us!” Kristen+Brian
