“Antonio and I met in August 2014, while my roommate and I were checking out the different places around our neighborhood. While Christina and I were having drinks at our local dive bar, we were talking about her new job and how she wanted me to go clothes shopping with her. I said a few dates and then realized I couldn’t do them. That’s when Antonio, who was sitting next to me, chimed in saying, “Well you seem like a busy person.” Thinking who the heck is this guy, I turned and said “I am!” And turned back away. We all eventually started talking and had a great night! Antonio got my number and then didn’t text or call! Haha! I finally got the courage and txt him 4 days later! Best decision I’ve ever made! 2 years after we met the proposal happened!! I was having a terrible day because my mom was in the hospital not doing well. Antonio came home and I was crying. He said to me, “Lets go out, have a nice dinner and some wine to get your mind off of things” I told him I didn’t think I could. He said he was going to jump in the shower and to think about it. I couldn’t stop crying. I finally agreed and he said, “Good, I already ordered the uber!” I said, “Are you crazy!! Look at me!!!!” His response, “Just do your makeup in the car”. Hahaha! Antonio decided to take me to our friend Ryan’s new restaurant, which is delicious (Blueprint Bar, check it out!). During dinner Antonio got up a couple times to use the bathroom and the 3rd time he got up, I was thinking what the heck is going on! He went to go talk to Ryan, so I thought you were just telling him how good the meal was. He walked back grabbed his glass started clinking it. I looked at him and said “What are you doing???” thinking that he was going to announce to the restaurant how great the restaurant was. Then all the sudden Antonio started talking about me, which now I can’t remember what it was because I was taken aback. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!!! Then everyone clapped!!! He definitely knew how to get me to smile!”
